  • Hi

love the app, havin used the free version for quite a while though it only fair I pay for the pro version! Love the additional features of it but if I had one request it would be that you can send number and contact details by text instead of or additionally to the send text to contact feature (don’t really know too many people with landline numbers that receive texts so the text to contact feature confuses me)
Anyway all in all it’s a great app, keep up the good work!

    Gavin

  • Hi, I am finding a lot of the address lookups are wrong. For instance Waterloo Rd D4 being shown close to Dublin Castle. Fix this and it is a great App.

  • Hi Gavin,
Thanks for the feedback. Once saved to your contacts, you can use the contacts app to send the details (via mail or mms); But it is a good point you make. I’ll look into it for a future release.
Incidentally, did you know if you text an eircom land line, a text-to-speech program calls it and replays the message?

  • Hi John,
I’m aware of the issues you have encountered. I may write a blog post on this as there is a longer answer. I’ll drop you a mail with some explanation.
    Thanks,
    Dermot.

  • Hi. I would find it very useful to b able to search without having 2 select a particular county or town, either by province or all Ireland. Could u make that possible?

  • Hi. Great app.
I find that having to type the County is a pain because I have to do this often.
Would it not be better to have a dropbox with all the counties listed Better again if the list included an “all” item.
    Keep up the good work.

  • Hi Brian,

Many thanks for your comment on the tapadoo site this morning. I get what you are requesting, however I chose not to put in a dropdown as searches can be limited not to just counties, but any town, suburb or area. This list would therefore be too long and unwieldy.

The app supports the concept of “default search location”, which is set by tapping on the information icon in the lower right hand corner. Once set, the search will be for this area for all future searches. For example: Imagine you live in Cork, and the majority of your searches are for people in Cork. Then, you should set your default location to Cork; all future searches will be for people in the Cork area.
Then, imagine you need to make a once-off search for someone in Galway; There’s no need to change your default location; instead search for “name@Galway”, and for this single search, it will use Galway as the search location.
    Handy, eh?

  • Pro version of directory search has begun to run nul finds, even when I search for a known directory entry.

Since no-one else seems to have reported this, it is presumably a problem only on my iPhone. Any suggestions as to what might be the cause?!

    Thank you.

  • I have been having the same problem as above whereas in both the standard and the pro version on two srperate iPhones have been returning nil results. After purchasing the Pro version I’ll now be requesting a refund as it simply doesn’t work. After having this product for a while when it was functioning I have to admit this is a disappointment.

This seems to be a common enough problem as a lot of people have been reporting their disappointment on Boards.ie.

  • I bought thois app and it was ok at the begining. How come my app doesn’t work now??? Unless I am convinced otherwise, I must conclude that this app was a waste of money.
I look forward to your reply.

I look forward to your reply. I want a refund please.

  • Same as above. Bought the app. Was very happy. Now it doesn’t work. Not happy and want my money back. As I see it what I paid for is a service that I’m just not getting

  • Your app doesn’t work 4 me at all anymore. It doesn’t find anybody!!!! Checked my own name, even I don’t exist anymore!! Though I used to!!

  • Refund for Pro Version please. Pity but it’s not reasonable to pay for nothing

  • Refund too please

Hi, is there any news on the situation, will the Application return? If not I want a refund. I’m waiting long enough. This should be reported to the consumer rights people…. I’ll tell you what….. I’ll give it another week, and then I’ll take further action on it. Someone has to do something about people who take advantage of their customers. A small amount of money from a lot of people adds up to a lot of money, so you should be able to pay the fine your likely to get.

  • Hi David,
I’ve responded in detail to your concerns on the mail address you supplied in your post. I’ve never tried to get one over on anyone, but I’ve gone into more detail on the mail.
    Regards,
    Dermot.

  • Hi,

I also purchased this app in good faith. Can i have an explanatory email as to why it no longer works?
I think it was a great app and circumvented the need to phone an overpriced directory enquiry service.
Whatever about a refund we all deserve a clear explanation as to why the product no long works
    I await your response.

    Many Thanks,

    Tony

  • I to would like to no way this app is not working and if you are not going to fix it I won’t my money back
